Quince Silk Pillowcase+Comparisons-$39.90

Seems like you guys really enjoy these Quince reviews, and clearly I’m kind of obsessed with them! That’s why I’m happy to report that this is a sponsored post, however all thoughts are my honest opinion, and they did not impose on me to mention or say anything in particular. I had already bought (with points)+tested these out for awhile after purchasing them myself and am happy to share my honest thoughts. 2 were bought previously, and 1 was sent. Aside from Quince, I’ve tried 3 brands of silk pillowcases, but I’ll talk about those a little later.

My Experience with Silk Pillowcases:

Before I talk about the performance of Quince pillowcases, I wanted to draw some context on why I purchased these. In terms of quality of silk, first know that there are various different types of silk, but mulberry silks are the finest, but even then there are varying weights and density varying from 11-25momme. The higher the quality, the higher the momme #. I have tried 3 other brands of pillowcases over the past 3 years before all in the same size, and I want to share with you very quickly on my thoughts:

  1. LilySilk $32/19momme: These were the first brands of silk pillowcases that I ever bought for myself. They’re very affordable, but after owning a couple for more than 1 year, 1/3 have already ripped.

  2. Drybar $45/?momme: Drybar doesn’t specify how many momme, only describing it as “100% natural silk”. Thank goodness I found this deeply discounted, because it was very thin, and there has also ripped after 1-2 delicate washes.

  3. Slip $89/22momme: By far Slip is the most renowned silk brand, and their marketing is amazing. I’ve owned one for years, and it has not failed me. However, the price tag is quite high, which is why I haven’t invested in more of them.

Performance:

I’ve been sleeping on silk pillowcases for years now, and I love it! Silk is not only beautiful to look at and touch, but has benefits on reducing hair breakage +frizz and also reduces friction and creasing on the skin while being hypoallergenic. Obviously as someone who loves and layers their skincare before bed, and even though I sleep on my side, I know that silk pillowcases will absorb less product from my face than say, cotton. I’ve been exclusively using these for 2 months now, and have washed them twice on delicate cycle. These pillowcases are the same quality (22momme) as my Slip ones so I am confident they’ll last. The zipper closure is also a thoughtful touch that prevents your pillow from slipping out (especially if you move a lot in your sleep like I do), and that itself is also awesome quality-no catches or snags that will cause potential damage the silk itself. I do find that these do sell out often (along with a lot of their other products) so if you see them in stock, snag em!

The one and only con I could find was that Quince does not sell these in king sizes so just be aware! Hopefully they will carry them in the future.

Verdict:

Awesome steal for the price. In my opinion, this is comparable to Slip, and less than half the price. Since we spend 1/3 of our entire lives sleeping, silk pillowcases are very practical way to enhance everyday life. I honestly can’t think of another brand that can offer this quality at that price with year-round free shipping. I’m definitely excited for you to try these! If you’re looking to pick them up, you can use this link for your first purchase 50+.. These would make great gifts, no matter the occasion! In a previous post, I told you to skip on the Quince linen pillowcases…their silk ones are the solution!

Save Some $:

From what I’ve seen, Quince doesn’t offer additional discounts since their pricing is so competitive. As with all silk fabrics, make sure you care for them properly to ensure they actually last.

Use my $20 off from the Quince site (now with a $50 minimum unfortunately) using this link with your first purchase! You’ll have to enter my email worthitbeauty@gmail.com, then your own (in friend’s email).
