*As for ingredients, the #1 ingredient in here is centella asiatica leaf water, which calms and soothes the skin. Then there’s glycerin, oils, niacinamide, sodium hyalouronate to moisturize and hydrate, and, of course, ceramides which acts as glue to hold your skin barrier together and prevent water loss. The texture is more occlusive, but not greasy and leaves a smooth, soft, velvety finish.

Performance:

I have oily-combo skin so before I begin, I’ll say that I only use this on my face if it’s super windy outside, and I need something thicker to protect my skin from water loss or from drying out. It works beautifully, but honestly it’s a little thick for me on a day-to-day basis on the face.

However. I LOVE using this on my body. When it comes to skincare, I’m very diligent about moisturizing the face and neck, but not anywhere else, leaving the rest of my skin from the neck down a dry desert. In Socal it’s normally hot and dry, but lately this winter, it’s been cold and still dry! When my body is dry, I get itchy all over the legs, back and a tiny dry patch on my left shoulder. Since I’m horrible at diligence when it comes to moisturizing my body, it usually takes itchiness to remind me to put on some lotion. And I find that most body lotions aren’t thick enough and been reaching for this ceramide cream almost every day just for those drier areas. (Oh, and one word about itchy skin. Just like your mama tells you: DON’T SCRATCH. When it’s dry, your skin get itchy. And when your skin gets itchy, you scratch and make your skin even more dry. And this cycle continues until you do something about it!) When I slather this all over, Immediately the itchiness subsides and I don’t find that I need to reapply until the next day. The ingredients in here are stellar, and I would happily repurchase this when this runs out. Also, I love that this can be used on the face and/or on the body! So whether you’re dry or more oily like me, I think this could be a winner for anyone.

Verdict:

Absolutely. The price and ingredients are awesome, and for a face cream, you get way more than a typical 1 oz.
