Instytutum Flawless Skin Mask-Retail $69
I know what you’re thinking. $69 for 5 sheet masks?! That’s 13.80/mask! And trust me, even though I’ve had these masks for months I don’t ever stop that jaw-dropping moment when I’m reminded of the high price. This product was sent to me kindly from Instytutum, and while I love the Flawless Exfoliating Pads (review here) that are also $69, these honestly were a miss for me. But of course, let’s take a more objective look first.
Specs:
5 masks/pk
Type: 2pc Hydrogel Mask
Scent:
Claims:
Increased moisture/plumping/lifting/better skin texture/reduces look of winkles
* (Ok, just FYI, increased moisture inevitably leads to plumped skin, reduced wrinkle size, and does help skin texture. So those 3 things are basically saying the same thing.)
Ingredients: (see below)
Performance:
On first impression, this was a messy product. Having 2 separate parts makes it harder to apply and peel, in my opinion, but I appreciate that having 2 separate portions helps to fit the contours of the face better. Hydrogel masks always cling nicely to the face, but what I noticed quickly was that this mask doesn’t have that much serum in it! In less than 20 minutes, I felt like the serum had mostly absorbed and the leftover was not much for a second application (which I often do with other sheet mask brands). Texture-wise
Verdict:
This is a hard no. There are so many luxurious sheet masks that I feel do a lot more to my skin that are under $10. This definitely adds up for a person who sheet masks semi-regularly and instead of sheet masking, I’d rather put that $69 toward a more long-lasting and luxurious serum.

If you’re still looking for sheet masks, look into these brands: Karuna ($$$), Leaders ($), JayJun ($$), Huxley ($$), Peach & Lily ($$), or even Peach Slices ($) sheet masks. There are so many good ones out there for every budget! (Hm, should I do a blog post on that?)
