Innisfree Jeju Orchid Eye Cream-Retail $20-29

This is actually my first-ever eye cream that I've purchased a full size of. Before summer 2017, I used to stock up on eye cream samples and use those-I did that for...a year and a half. But when in Korea last year I figured it was finally time to just buy one to use consistently. Of all products out there I chose this one because of Joan's recommendation on her Youtube channel. Her mom and her both tried out $500 worth of eye creams, and this came out as #1 for both.

It's been almost a year of using this very consistently AM and PM, and I still have a little bit left! Can you believe it??

Performance:

Before I go in depth about this, let me just preface this by saying that when I look for eye creams, I'm not looking for an anti-aging product. Well, if you count using eye cream early and preventing wrinkles at an early age, sure. That's anti-aging I guess. But I'm talking about eye creams that claim to firm/get of wrinkles. No. I don't look for that. I just want an all-over good, gentle, and basic eye cream that will hydrate my eye area. To be very honest, I haven't tried that many eye creams in my lifetime, so I suppose I don't have too many products to compare it to efficacy-wise.

Ok, so like most eye creams out there, this comes in a plastic tub and doesn't come with a spatula...so you're going to have to get your own. Honestly I got lazy after awhile and I kept losing the spatulas that I just ended up using my ring finger to dip and apply. (I know, tsktsk.)This cream is smooth upon application and isn't too heavy or occlusive, nor did it irritate or cause any stinging (that'd be a very bad sign friends. If your eye cream does that to you, buh-bye!).  It does a good job in the hydration department all year round! No matter what season it is, this was a staple in my skincare routine. Personally, I have oily-combo skin, but I've also heard very good things about this product from someone with dry skin. So honestly, if you're looking for a good basic eye cream, I don't think you can go wrong with this!

Verdict

Absolutely yes. This is so worth it, and it's a huge plus that this eye cream is so stinkin affordable!
