Performance:

You have no idea how skeptical I was about this eyeshadow. With every single product launch there is so much hype around Glossier that I take it all with a grain of salt. And on top of that, I have hooded eyes which makes me gravitate more toward matte eyeshadows anyway, so this really had to wow me if I were to purchase another shade. Application is very foolproof and easy, given the doe foot applicator that's just the right size. Just dab it on and build it to the pigmentation you want using your finger, and you're set! Blended out, these are quite sheer initially, but definitely are buildable-to a certain point. I usually guild it 3-4 times before I get the pigmentation I want. It's not like a swipe of colourpop eyeshadows, but it does give a nice shimmery tint to the eyes. Lidstar does indeed set, but not too fast so you'll have adequate playtime with it. Texture-wise there's no chunky glitter at all, and it feels more like a gel eyeshadow than a cream since there's no emollient slip to it (thankfully). Throughout the day, it has pretty incredible staying power and there's 0 fallout after it's dry. Below are 1-3 layers+blended out. If you want to see how it performed for 12 hours, go watch my Instagram (worthitbeautyblog) highlight entitled "Glossier Lidstar"!

Verdict:

Worth it! Out of the many products that Glossier has developed now, these are one of the few that I feel like are worth the money. They really do last all day without primer, which was honestly the dealbreaker for me since I have such oily lids.
