Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream- Retail $24.50

Sometimes all we need is just a basic moisturizer. Something that works, something that we'll repurchase again and again as a go-to product when another one doesn't work out. This Klairs moisturizer is a fan-favorite so naturally when Wishtrend reached out to me and let me pick something from their website to review, this was the product I requested to try out.

Performance: 

There's nothing complicated about this product. It's just an everyday moisturizer that is suitable for everyone. I appreciated that this product came in a tube instead of a jar. The packaging is easy to dispense, and keeps the cream hygienic while not needing a separate spatula to get product. While this cream is definitely creamy, it's not heavy and absorbs into the skin easily.  While it did soothe my skin and calm down the redness, it wasn't quite moisturizing enough for me despite using a hydrating essence.  (I am still dealing with the after-effects of contact dermatitis.) Aside: Just FYI, moisturizing=oil content, hydration=water content

I found myself constantly mixing it together with facial oils, which transformed the cream into a beautiful combo that provided just what I needed to protect my skin barrier. 

Verdict: 

I can't say I'm obsessed about this cream, but it is definitely worth the money! This is a solid moisturizer that does what it claims (all except the hydration). I think this would work well for normal-oily skin, but might not be enough for extremely dehydrated skin unless you layer hydrating essences beforehand. This is something I'd reach for if I had irritated skin or just wanted something more protective than a gel formula.
