Peach Slices Calm Sheet Mask-Retail $2.49

Peach slices is the sister brand of Alicia Yoon's online K-beauty website Peach & Lily. The great thing about Peach Slices is that it's their products are readily available at CVS and are generally very affordable (plus very aesthetically pleasing!). I haven't tried too many things from this sister brand, but recently I did get to test out this sheet mask. I reached for this one because at the time my skin was not only super dry, but red and uncomfortable. Seriously just waiting for my skin to just chill and stay calm.

Performance:

First off, I'd like to mention that this sheet mask was very easy to unfold. Usually product is dripping everywhere while I'm trying to unfold sheet masks gently so as not to rip it. But this wasn't folded in any complex oragami-like fashion; it was easy to unpack without a mess. This cotton sheet mask adhered very well to the skin, and fit my face well to my surprise! None of that slip and slide action. It wasn't too big and during the entire 20 minutes it was on I never had to re-adjust. The formula isn't too tacky and felt cooling on the skin the entire time. And this wasn't because it was wet and wind was blowing on my face-there's a good amount of mint extract in here, which makes it so cooling and soothing for angry skin. After 20 minutes, I felt like the sheet mask did dry up faster than most sheet masks I tried, but this wasn't a con for me. After removal, I dug up the excess serum from the packet and applied the rest onto my face. My face felt soothed, cooled (and very cold), looked less red which was exactly what I wanted.

When absorbed, it feels slightly sticky but definitely not as much as the Innisfree or Leaders formulas do. I was actually able to resist washing the excess off, instead applying a gel moisturizer on top to seal it in. I applied this in the mid-afternoon after showering and didn't add anything else until the next morning which was why I felt dry again. Next time I'd probably do this right before bed and layer on a thicker moisturizer on top.

Verdict:

Love this sheet mask! For the price, the ingredients are great and it actually works! I wish this sheet mask was a little more hydrating, but at the end of the day, it did what it claimed to do. I'm excited to try out the other sheet masks in the same line. Worth the price!

As a comparison, Innisfree (also around $2) does have more product, but the formula is stickier, and the sheet mask itself doesn't fit/adhere as well to my face. I love this Peach Slices sheet mask so much more!
