A Taste Of Grow Leegeehaam

I was kindly gifted these 3 Leegeehaam (aka LGH) products through Stylekorean's Review Me Event. I've been dying to try this brand but just didn't get the chance to until now. This Kbeauty brand LGH has 5 categories or themes of skincare, and "Grow" is one of them, and within Grow there are 5 more lines based on specific ingredients. The "Grow" categorization is based on "botanic science". This brand is great for sensitive skin types!

Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule ($27.82)

Ingredients:

Propolis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract, Panthenol, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Bark/Twig Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Carbomer, Arginine, Spirodela Polyrrhiza Extract , Hydroxyethylcellulose, Dipotassium, Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Adenosine

Summary:

I may be wrong, but from what I've seen on social media, this is LGH's top product. This cute bottle contains 50% propolis extract, which has antibacterial, healing, and antioxidant properties, which is why propolis is quite popular in kbeauty. The ingredients in here are awesome, which would explain why this would be sold as an ampoule (aka a more potent serum). I mean, propolis? niacinamide? which hazel? Sodium Hyaluronate? Who wouldn't like this combo? This isn't sticky at all despite its thick, gel-like texture, hydrates so well, and you only need 2-3 drops of it to smooth over your entire face. I love this product, and really wish they gave you more for the $38 you're paying.

Summary:

Ok first, in my mind, I was like, "what the heck is Hyal? I've never heard of that." Actually 5 Hyal stands for 5 different types of hyaluronic acid. Which. When I found that out, I was immediately a huuge fan. There are different molecular weights of hyaluronic acids (an intensely hydrating ingredient), so including differing molecular weights allows varying penetration of the ingredient into the skin. Smaller molecular weights deeper, while bigger molecular weights hydrate the surface of the skin. B5 stands for the vitamin B5, which is the perfect pairing with hyaluronic acid since it helps to maintain a healthy skin barrier to keep hydration in.

You get quite a lot of product in here, and dispenses nicely in a pump. I normally use 4-5 pumps of this right after double cleansing, and let me tell you, this hydrates very nicely. You'll definitely notice it immediately. If you happen to take a little longer moving onto the next step of your skincare routine like needing to take a dump, feed the dog or scarfing down your breakfast, your skin will be fine because it'll be well hydrated!

Grow Matcha Clay Mask ($20)

Ingredients:

Water, Kaolin, Dipropylene Glycol, Bentonite, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Betaine, Silica, Butylene Glycol, Montmorillonite, 1,2 Hexanediol, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Juniperus Mexicana Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Illite, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Chromium Oxide Greens, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyacetophenone, Ethylhexylglycerin

Summary

I've used a loooot of clay masks before, and to be honest, I had some judgments before using this. Don't judge a book by its cover, but I did this time except with ingredients. Aaand unfortunately I was right. I was afraid it would suck the life out of my skin, and it did. You don't have to wait 10 minutes for this mask to feel super tight. Nope, you actually only needed 3 minutes. No matter if you apply a thin or thick layer, this product feels tight on the skin, and all you can think of is when you can wash it off. I mean, it did make my pores look cleaner and smaller temporarily, but that's expected since kaolin clay de-gunks pores and draws out impurities. That's something that you should expect to happen with clay masks. I just couldn't get over the fact that it dried me out in the process (and I have combo-oily skin!) and I know for a fact that there are better and cheaper clay masks out there that won't make you feelin like a prune. After use, I made well sure to focus on hydrating my skin with the rest of my skincare routine. This doesn't really smell like matcha to me, but it does smell natural with a tinge of a stragely fishy scent. It sounds disgusting, but it's actually OK.
