Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Crème-Retail $24

Over the past 2 years, I’ve been seeing Briogeo products ALL OVER social media. At first I thought it was a hype phase and Briogeo mentions would die down, but almost after 2 years, it just keeps getting more and more popular especially after this particular product received the Reader’s Choice Allure Award. Almost a year ago, I received this cult-favorite Rosarco heat protectant creme in my Fabfitfun box and I don’t know why it took me this long to review it!

Performance:

Usually for natural hair products, I get disappointed. A lot of natural products who work for thin hair isn’t hydrating enough for me, and a lot of products designed for dry hair can leave a residue. And let me tell you that when it comes to hair, I’m pretty picky. If it’s not hydrating enough, why bother using it? And if it leaves a residue, I will not allow that product to continue to leave me feeling dirty after application. Ugh, gross. But because of the hype, I already had high standards for this, and really didn’t know what to expect because I have really thick hair. Surprisingly, this blow dry creme worked wonderfully for me. Let me tell you why.

The texture is a gel-creme-like (see photo above) so there’s no way it would heavy or greasy feeling. I work a quarter-size amount into my damp hair after towel drying, wrap my 10lb head of hair into my Aquis hair turban, and let it sit for awhile while I eat/do chores. I don’t really notice any particular softness or change until you blow dry though, and especially the morning after. The after-effect of softness is actually noticeable (without feeling heavy) Wow, what a game changer! So in love with this product, I think I tried to use this sparingly which is why it has almost lasted me a year. The best thing is that I can see and feel the results after use, but even more is that it’s 98% naturally derived and there’s no silicones to coat your hair, tricking you into thinking your hair is actually silkier. Instead, the blend of Rosehip, Coconut, and Argan oils penetrate the strands for an actual healthier head of hair, without the greasiness. How? No idea. But thank you Briogeo! I definitely want to try more from the brand.

Oh, and also. I really like the super-flexible tube packaging. It’ll allow me to squeeze out every drop without having to cut the thing in half to scrape the rest out.

Verdict:

Yes, worth every penny! Awesome ingredients, great results, and would really work for everyone. I’m actually surprised this isn’t even more expensive.
